The way we think about God and ourselves has power over our emotions and actions. Meditating on God's Word can change our lives. In 2016, it was my goal to create lists of verses for each day of every month that I could meditate on, write out, and at times write notes about in my Journaling Bible. I will be continuing this practice in 2017! "Think on These Things" will have a slightly different look, but we will still have a theme for the month and verses each day that you can write out, verse map, or ponder. Below you will find the verses for the year {as they become available}, last year's verses, and a suggested supply list. I hope you will join me! Let's "Think On These Things"!
Instagram
During the month I try to post my thoughts on the verses on Instagram. If you would like to follow me you can find me here. Also, if you are posting your own thoughts there please use the hashtag #thinkonthesethings. I would love to read how God speaks to you!!

Supplies
There are many ways you can use these verses. You can read and meditate on them. You can write them out as you meditate on them. You can read them and then write about them in a journal or journaling Bible. You could do verse mapping with them (See this post). Here are some of the items I use...
ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (TruTone, Chestnut, Leaves Design)
ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (Black)
ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (Brown, Flap with Strap)
Some highlighters {These are my absolute favorites!}...
Eco Highlighter Pencils - Set of 5 Colors
Black pens...
Black Ink Pen Set
I love these journals that lay flat...easier to write in! They are great for Scripture writing!

I am going to do this with you on a monthly basis instead of daily. I am just starting with Bible journaling and I really like the idea of Thinking on these things and I really like the idea of a monthly theme. I can't get behind this way. Thank you for posting this.
How did you choose these verses?
I am glad you are joining me! I choose the verses in various ways. Some of them are my favorites. I also do some "research" with a concordance and other Bible helps to find verses that fit the theme. Praying for you that as you "think on these things" that God will bless you!
I would like to follow your Blog for when you post anything NEW...I can't find where I can do that.
I will be doing your Scripture Writing - found you through Instagram!
God BLESS!
Kim- I have added a follow by email button up at the top of the sidebar. Glad you are doing the Scripture writing with me!
Thanks Debbie!
I didn't see that before - have subscribed now! God Bless! ♥
Thank you SO MUCH Debbie! ♥
I am so glad I found this! I do scripture writing daily (almost). I am going to print these out for next year for when mine finishes!
Do you have a Facebook page?
I don't currently have a Facebook page. Most of what I do with Think on These Things is on my Instagram.
Thank you Debbie for your post on Hope and for the support on helping the truth of God's word to get more into my daily life.
God bless you,
Susan

Thank you for your post. Thank you for sharing God's grace!
Will you put up December?
It's there now. And just so you know, the upcoming month can also be found if you hit the home button on my blog. It is posted about two weeks before the month starts. Sometimes, however, I forget to put it here right away. I apologize!
For some reason I cannot print off February verses, I did print off January so wonder what I am doing wrong - or maybe I can not longer print.
Such an amazing blog! God blesses me through your life :) Thank you for your posts!
Love from Argentina <3
Thank you, Aylen! I have been to Argentina and love the country!
Found this section about God's promises at just the right time! Our study group finishes 1st and 2nd Kings this week and it's been a disheartening 47 days of reading about how God's chosen people blatantly dishonored Him! They created their own places of worship and turned to false God's. Their sacrifices were not pleasing to God!
But here...we can find comfort in God's promises! We will be using the Feb. scripture posts for the next month from March 12th on. Really excited about it!
