Some might call me obsessive, but I have worked long and hard to heal from my past. It hasn't been easy, and I have to admit there is more healing to do. One of the ways I have worked through the angst is to do Bible studies related to healing. Here is a look at some great Bible studies to help you heal...

Encountering the Healing Power of Forgiveness- This study by Shawn Lantz is one of the best Bible studies I have ever done. Based on the life of Joseph, Shawn takes you through what forgiveness is and it not using examples from Genesis. She also talks about reconciliation.

Healing the Wounded Heart and The Healing Journey are meant to be used together. Healing the Wounded Heart is not a Bible study per se, but rather a book that covers what happens when we are wounded and how to heal. The Healing Journey can be used along side it. It is a journal with Bible verses to meditate and journal on as you heal. I read Healing the Wounded Heart first and then worked through the journal. I found both books to be extremely helpful.

Beth Moore's study,Breaking Free, is another good study if you are trying to heal from your past. She looks at how strongholds are built up in our lives and how to break them down. I particularly liked the week on "Binding up the Brokenhearted".

Missing Pieces  by Jennifer Rothschild is a study for when you need hope in difficult circumstances. Jennifer explores whether or not God cares and is fair when it comes to the events of our lives. I love this quote from the study, "If we really want to experience our own wholeness, we must take God in His wholeness." She gives a deeper understanding of who God is and that He can be trusted in the midst of hurt.

Broken and Blessed studies one of the most broken families in history. Who are they? The first family...the one from Genesis {Adam through Joseph}. If you are struggling with brokenness in your family, you are not alone. Broken families have been around since almost the beginning of time. It is through our brokenness that we can be blessed.

So have you done any studies that have helped you deal with emotional healing? I would love to hear about them!
