Summertime is always a great time for me to do some extra reading. You can check my tab up at the top of my blog for reviews on some of these books and more! Here is a list of some of my favorite Christian reads...
The Waiting: The True Story of a Lost Child, a Lifetime of Longing, and a Miracle for a Mother Who Never Gave Up-I couldn't put this book down! A true story of a young mother who has to give up her baby. The ending will give you hope in God that He brings all things together for our good! Set in South Dakota {my home state}, this book will bring you to tears and fill you with joy.
Finding Spiritual Whitespace: Awakening Your Soul to Rest- Another gripping story of pain and healing. If you are struggling with your past, stressed in the present or anxious for the future, Bonnie's book will show you how to find rest in God. As a sufferer of anxiety and a past history of abuse, Bonnie's book guided me through some of the issues of healing and finding peace.
When a Woman Finds Her Voice-A great book for anyone that has dealt with hurt. Jo Ann describes how our pain can turn into our purpose.
The Wall Around Your Heart: How Jesus Heals You When Others Hurt You-This book is excellent! Mary DeMuth takes the Lord's Prayer and uses it to help guide us through "relational messes".
Everything: What You Give and What You Gain to Become Like Jesus-A book about becoming like Jesus. Thought-provoking!
Victim of Grace: When God's Goodness Prevails- "What was once shattered can be redeemed." No matter what happens in life God is there.
Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions-Ever spewed your emotions all over someone? I believe EVERY woman should read this book! Great advice and guidance!
Whiter Than Snow: Meditations on Sin and Mercy-I really loved this book on sin and God's mercy towards it. These are short devotionals that explore Psalm 51.
You'll Get Through This: Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times-My favorite book by Max Lucado. Going through a rough time? Then this book is well worth the read. Max uses the life of Joseph (you know the one...with the lovely brothers. Ha!) to illustrate how to get through tough times.

Thanks for sharing this list Debbie. I just got the whitespace book and would like to read unglued too. I appreciated hearing what you had to say about the books.
I miss seeing you on the FIAR boards. I hope you are doing well!
Blessings
Leslie
