Art and Faith {Coloring Books}

{Affiliate links used.}

Back in November, I did a post on faith-based coloring books. {See it here.} Since then, I haven't stopped coloring! I absolutely love it! It helps me deal with my anxiety and fidgetiness {Is that a word?}. I tend to color in the evening when we are watching Netflix TV episodes or during quiet afternoons {which are few and far between}. So here are a few more coloring books to feed your faith and inspire you...Read to the end where I will tell you about my favorite colored pencils!

{NOTE: Most of these books have photos of sample pages in the review section. Take a peek to see if it is a style you would enjoy coloring.}

Whatever Is Lovely: An Adult Coloring Book for Reflection and Worship-I recently received this coloring book as a gift. I absolutely love it! Each page has a verse or inspiring words with the art. On the backside of each page there is more about where the words came from (either the Bible reference, lyrics to a hymn, or from a blog post from great Christian writers like Liz Curtis Higgs, Lysa TerKeurst, or Corrie Ten Boom.) All the pictures in the first graphic of this post are from this book.

Here are some more inspirational coloring books...

Inspiring Words: 30 Verses from the Bible You Can Color-The title says it all!

The Word In Color-This one is awesome, because it is spiral-bound on the top. Great for left-handers like me.

Joy for the Journey- Another top-bound book. I love the bikes, flowers, and birds.

Live Free: An Adult Coloring Book-I have actually done some of Margaret Feinberg's Bible studies. She now has coloring books!

Inspirational Coloring for Mom: Hardcover Christian Coloring Book for Mothers-A coloring book especially for moms!

Inspire Bible NLT: The Bible for Creative Journaling-A journaling Bible that also has artwork already in it to color! This releases March 22, 2016.

Beautiful Psalms-Since I am currently writing out the book of Psalms...I love this. Verses in Psalms decorated with flowers and butterflies.

Here are the rest of my posts on coloring books:

Tools for coloring:

Here is what I use...

Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencils-These soft core pencils are great for laying down color in large areas.

Prismacolor Verithin Colored Pencils-These are what I use for detail work.

Sanford Prismacolor Colored Pencil Accessory Set, 7-Piece-Love this! The blender pencil is such a fun item to use to blend color. It also includes erasers, a sharpener, and a pencil lengthener.

LolliZ Gel Pens -When I don't want to go the pencil route I use these. Bolder colors.

Sakura Gelly Roll Metallic Gel Ink Pen Set-These are fun as the metallic shine really comes through!

Happy Coloring!!
