Ever Tried a Lotion Bar?

Have you hear of lotion bars?  I had never tried one until last year, and now I am hooked! Lotion bars are just like the name implies...bars of lotion! Lotion bars are made from beeswax, different oils and butters (think, grapeseed oil and cocoa butter), and fragrance.  I absolutely love them! You basically hold the bar in your hands for a second or two and then rub the bar over your skin.  The warmth from your body helps the "lotion" rub onto your skin.  While they go on a bit greasy they abosorb well after a minute or two.  Here in central Alaska we have desert-like conditions, and winters are tough on our hands. Lotion bars have been the solution to the dryness for me.  I especially like using them after washing dishes.  One excellent source for them is Mineral Creek Essentials. They are an Alaskan company located in the coastal town of Valdez.  There are also many other sites that sell them.  If you suffer from dry skin you might want to give them a try!
