Trust {Think On These Things}

I have serious trust issues. SERIOUS. I can't even explain the depths of it. Maybe it is because I am a survivor of abuse. Maybe it's the anxiety I battle on a constant basis. Or was it that time that friend betrayed me so much so my life changed forever? I am not sure where it all started, but I am here to say to trust is akin to torture for me. Slowly, over the past decade, God has confirmed my fears. I can't trust people. Circumstances aren't an anchor to hold onto. Financial stability is just a wave in the ocean. As I look around, there is seemingly no one and no thing to put my trust in. And maybe that is the point. My trust was never meant to be given to anyone or anything except the One. Will you join me in October as we write out verses related to trust? We will take a look at whom/what not to trust. We will peek into the life of Christ to see how even His closest friends failed Him. We will see how Christ trusted people (or not). I hope you will join me! See below to find out how you can follow along on Instagram day by day.

During the month I try to post my thoughts on the verses on Instagram. If you would like to follow me you can find me here. Also, if you are posting your own thoughts there please use the hashtag #thinkonthesethings. I would love to read how God speaks to you!!

Supplies
There are many ways you can use these verses. You can read and meditate on them. You can write them out as you meditate on them. You can read them and then write about them in a journal or journaling Bible. You could do verse mapping with them (See this post). Here are some of the items I use...

A single column journaling Bible allows you to make notes in the margins.

ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (TruTone, Chestnut, Leaves Design)
ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (Black)
ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (Brown, Flap with Strap)

Some highlighters {These are my absolute favorites!}...

Eco Highlighter Pencils - Set of 5 Colors

Black pens are great for writing out the verses...

Black Ink Pen Set
Black Artist Pen Set

I love these journals that lay flat...easier to write in! They are great for Scripture writing!
Studio Oh! Deconstructed Journals

Thank you for posting this. Grateful to our Abba God who somehow shows us that their are others out there that have the same struggles and hurdles to leap over. This has truly blessed me. I’m really looking forward to reading these verses, to strengthen our walk with the only One who we should trust wholeheartedly.
