I love the taste and texture of boxed brownies.  There, I said it!  But I tend not to buy boxes of the stuff because it is more expensive, and it is healthier {that is, if a brownie can be healthy...} to make them from scratch.  Also, if I buy the box...it is too easy to make what is in the box!  This is my go-to recipe for brownies when I don't don't have a mix from the store.

Speedy Brownies

2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 t. salt
4-5 eggs {less eggs makes them chewier}
1 cup oil
1 t. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips

Combine all the ingredients.  Pour into a greased 9 by 13 pan.  Bake 350 for 30 minutes. Let cool. Cut and enjoy.  Yum!
