31 Days of God's Word

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Have you heard of "31 days"?  Every October bloggers pick one topic to write about for a whole month.  Sounds difficult, doesn't it?  It is.  Yet it isn't.  It actually helps me focus and gives me something to write about.  If you would like more information on this activity please see The Nester's blog.

It has been my goal for awhile to highlight a Bible with meaningful verses for each of my sons when they graduate high school.  So far I have done nothing to attain this goal.  So when "31 Days" was announced again, I came up with the idea that this would be an excellent time to compile those verses that mean so much to me that I can pass onto my kids.  So, starting October 1st, I will be sharing verses that shouldn't be missed (some are familiar...some, not so much) for the whole month.  I already have 31 verses (or passages) picked out. I need only to add some thoughts to each post about why I feel these sections of God's Word are so important to me.  Really, I will be writing to my sons.  Showing them how God's Word has changed my life.  But I would love for you to stop by...maybe you will find a favorite new verse.

For those of you that are interested, last year I also participated in "31 Days" in which I wrote about forgiveness.  Not an easy topic.  So important though when dealing with life and people.  You can read those posts by clicking on the button on my sidebar.

Can't wait to get started!
