Forgiving Ourselves

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is ourselves!  We can be harder on ourselves than any other person could ever be, but God makes it clear that He forgives us totally.  We should look to Him and how He sees us when we are trying to let go of the sins we have committed.

I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,
your sins like the morning mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you.
Isaiah 44:22

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18

I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more. Isaiah 43:25
