When There are no Words...

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Sometimes we are left speechless...dumbfounded...wounded.  When there are no words for the pain and a lack of hope for recovery, God becomes our Word and our Hope.

The Word was with God and the Word was God. {John 1:1}

He is with us when the words aren't there.  He walks with us regardless of the situation.  Surprisingly, He becomes the words we cannot speak...

...when we are in such pain we can't describe it...when we offer forgiveness although our entire being screams, "no"...when we don't know what to say in that akward situation... He becomes the Word if we let Him.

Sometimes there is no need for words because He already has it covered...

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. {Romans 8:26}

Ultimately, it is His Word that will save us from the pain. It is His Word that will restore us and make us whole.

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace. {Isaiah 55:11-12}

I am resting on His Word this week.
