The Week We Did Nothing...

Friday, June 18, 2010

At least we did nothing in school!  This week has been crazy with swim lessons, church activities, and getting ready for a garage sale!  It has been hard focusing on what we have recently been doing (a unit on Shakespeare).  But some interesting things have happened...

Titan
One morning this week I took our mini schnauzer on a 4 mile walk.  Afterwards, he took a 30 minute nap which isn't unusual for him after all that exercise.  When he woke up he couldn't open his eyes!  He looked pitiful!  It was freaking us out!  So we called the vet and set up an appointment.  Two hours later we found out that Titan had pink eye!  Puppy pink eye???!!  I didn't know that dogs could get that!  Anyways, he is doing well with getting drops twice a day...doesn't even seem to phase him a bit.

My garden is really starting to take off...we will have lettuce and spinach soon.  There are flowers on the zuke plants and tomatoes on the vine!  Can't wait!

I am in the process of getting ready to give a class on how to make an altered clipboard for the teen girls at our church.  I had to spend some time this week practicing the techniques again since it has been a while since I made one.

I've always wanted to try making clipboards like that! Very cute. I never get up the nerve, how nice that you will be doing a class on it!

We had a similar week. Swimming, spring cleaning, and getting ready for a garage sale ;)

We had a school free week too. Abundance of family in town for hubby's retirement leaves no time for school.

Our garden has gone crazy too. I think I need to stake the cukes because they are starting to take over. LOL

I love the clipboard! Are there directions somewhere? We tried some with Modge Podge last year & they always stayed kind of sticky.
