Thankful for...

holy experience

My goal is to create in myself an attitude of gratitude for all the many blessings I have received. Here are a few more things to be grateful for...

11. Fall colors. God is such an artist!

12. The ability to teach my Spanish students and supplement our income.  I truly love to teach.  It isn't always easy, but it is rewarding.

13. Warm weather...unseasonably warm... in the 60's which is unheard of in October in central Alaska!

14. The relationship I have with my kids.  Sometimes we struggle...but the past several months have been a real blessing and a time of growing our relationships especially with my oldest son.

15. Chocolate! You can't leave chocolate out!

16. The amazing church that we are a part of.  I am thankful for supportive Christians.

17. A new friendship that just started...I have ministered to this lady for about a year now (doing it secretly as a "secret sister").  We are now getting the opportunity to know each other better.

18. The ability to homeschool my kids.

19. A nice snug home...especially as we get closer to winter.

20. Beth Moore Bible studies...I have grown so much from doing her studies over the years!!

21. The sovereignty and sweetness of God.  Sometimes it is hard to accept that God is totally in control especially when bad things happen.  It is then that I have to realize the sweetness (goodness) of God...no matter what He does in my life it is for my good.

22. A good night's sleep...I am grateful when I can have these as I sometimes suffer from insomnia.

23. A dishwasher...yes, I am thankful for my dishwasher!  I don't know what I would do if I had to wash them all by hand especially as we come up on the holidays!

24. Time with friends

25. Stamping and the opportunity or time to do it

Great post Debbie, good reminder. I just put a desktop wallpaper on from Revive Our Hearts and it's about gratitude, with a quote from A.W. Tozer.

Was your dad able to go to Crazy Horse today? We went for the 20th Anniversary of the Native American Day celebration. Great speakers and dancers and they served free buffalo stew! YUMMY! Just wish it had been much warmer than the 23 degrees. We were able to watch a blast on the mountain too, I figured your dad might be somewhere in the group taking pictures.

Kim- My dad is still in Montana working! So he missed it...bummer. He should be heading home soon.

So you were 23 degrees today? You won't believe this but we were in the 50's! Very warm for this time of the year. Doesn't even feel like October.

We're supposed to get back up to the 60s this weekend, I hope so. We went from the leaves just barely changing to freezing off the limbs! Unfortunately, our health has gone down at the same time, the flu has hit (that's why I'm up at 3:30 a.m.). I'm just praying my little guys don't get it.
Talk to you soon,
Kim

No, you can't leave out chocolate...why haven't I thought about adding that to my list!

Thank you for sharing your list with us. Blessings.
