Waffles

We love waffles here!  It is sad to say though that we rarely eat them because it is such a production for me to make them.  When I do though we are in heaven! The recipe I use makes a ton of them. I save some for the next morning's breakfast and then freeze the rest. This week I made two batches of waffles.  We are stocked for awhile.

 Basic Waffles
6 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 T. baking powder
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 1/2 t. salt
5 1/4 cups milk
1 cup oil
6 large eggs
Place ingredients in a mixing bowl and combine until smooth. Let batter rest for 5 minutes. Cook on a waffle iron. Yum!

Oh these look yummy! I need to get a regular waffle iron. I have a Belgium one but the kids don't really like eating them. I think they would do better with a smaller waffle. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
