High School Reading List

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

I have been pondering what books/literature will be important for my boys to read in high school.  Here is the list so far.  I know that for each family there will be different books that will be considered important...these are the one that I want to make sure my boys have read.

Read through the Bible at least once

The Chosen by Potok

Eternity in Their Hearts by Richardson

To Kill a Mocking Bird

Fahrenheit 451

War of the Worlds

Romeo and Juliet

Frankenstein

Don Quixote

Hamlet

Great Expectations

Heart of Darkness

The Hiding Place

Macbeth

Wuthering Heights (I loved this book, but not so sure that this is really a "boy's book"...so we may skip this one!)

Hi Debbie,

I didn't realize that I had never signed up to follow your blog, so I did that just now. I enjoyed visiting your blog! Your header looks wonderful! I love it! I liked your book list too. We all love to read, and I really enjoy seeing other people's book lists to be sure I'm not leaving out something good. I think you may be right about Wuthering Heights. I LOVED it, but my hubby hated it!! I suppose it is more of a "girl book." :)

What a good idea to write up a list. I have a few years but I think I may start my list now!~
