School Ending!

This has been an awesome week...here are some things that have happened...

*My friend and I did our bulk cooking session on Monday.  We used recipes from Fix, Freeze, Feast.
These recipes are set up to bulk cook and are super easy!

*I "attended" the Schoolhouse Expo this week.  I really enjoyed the workshops! I listened to Diana Waring, Karen Braun (Spunky Homeschool), Davis Carman (from Apologia), and Mark Hamby.

*I finally got a cell phone!  I know...I am behind the times!

*The boys and I went on a nature walk to collect leaves for leaf classification for Noah's botany study.

*The boys are finishing subjects left and right!  It is so cool to see the light at the end of the tunnel!  The one subject we will probably continue with is math through the summer.

*We finished reading The Phantom Tollbooth and have been discussing it and analyzing it.

It's always good when you see the light at the end of the tunnel. We finished about 2 weeks ago, it's wonderful to have another year complete. Have a blessed weekend.

I need to get the grades and samples to our contact teacher for THEIR scheduled end of year. But, we aren't quite done yet here.

Glad you could listen in on the Expo talks. I tried, but it just wasn't working out.

So is the freezer cooking a new thing or something that's helped make life a bit easier during the week for a while?

Welcome to the world of cell phones, and thanks for reminding me of Phantom Tollbooth. - That's one I haven't read with my son yet.

Laura-I have been bulk cooking with a friend for over a year now. It has been a great blessing!! I homeschool and work part time in my home...so making dinner is always tough. Not anymore since there is dinner in the freezer!

I've done bulk cooking before and I love it. I would like to be more organized and do it more often.
