Freezer Pizza

There are a few ways to use the freezer to help with making pizzas.  One way is to make several batches of the dough and freeze it.  I love this recipe for pizza dough and have used it for years.

Pizza Dough
{Makes two crusts}

1 pkg. yeast
1 T. brown sugar
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups warm water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 T. (or a little less) salt
4 to 5 cups white flour

Combine yeast, brown sugar and the whole wheat flour in a bowl.  Add the water and mix well.  Let yeast mixture sit for 15 minutes.  Add the oil, salt and flour.  Mix well (I use my KitchenAid with the dough hook).  Split the dough in half.  Spray two gallon Ziploc bags with oil and place a ball of dough in each one.  Get all the air out of the bag. Seal and freeze.  Thaw in fridge overnight.  Pull out of the fridge a couple of hours before using.

Another route is to make the pizzas almost completely and freeze them. Here is a video about doing this.  Here is a set of instructions on another site.  I have only done this once or twice and it did work, but I felt that just freezing the dough instead of the whole pizza worked better for me.
