Project Life: Summer of 2011

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

The Mom Creative

It has been a few weeks since I have posted progress on my albums...it has been crazy lately so I haven't had time to work on them.  Here are some photos from summer 2011.

The above photos are actually from the 2010-2011 school year.  Noah did an awesome job drawing red blood cells in his science-based art class (top left photo).

I am learning how to be creative to get enough pictures on each page...here I have put two pictures in one slot.

Project Life is an awesome way to do scrapbooking!  I love the speed of it!

Here are some of the products I am using:

Project Life: Catching Up

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

Last week I didn't post any Project Life pages simply because life has been so busy that I haven't had the time to work on any of them.  I finally had about a half hour this past Friday to get some done.  Here are the results:

The Car Show at our church last year

Our start of school tradition: decorating cupcakes.  This is page style G.  You will notice that for the horizontal picture slots I took two pictures and cropped them down to 4 inches by 3 inches.  That allowed me to put two pictures side by side in one slot!  I just love coming up with creative ways to use these pages!

Project Life: The Start of 2011

The Mom Creative

I recently started working on pictures from 2011! This is incredible since at the beginning of January I was on 2009.  Project Life has made my life easier...I love this system!  It has just enough of the scrapbooking element to make it interesting, but the ease of just slipping photos into the plastic pages.

Here is the beginning of 2011...both of my boys' birthdays...

Project Life: Creating School Pockets

Tuesday, April 3, 2012

The Mom Creative

This past week my big envelope pages arrived in the mail.  I was so excited to pull together a couple of "school pockets" filled with my sons' schoolwork for each year.  I picked a couple of pieces of cardstock to use as "covers" to hide all the schoolwork.  I found it easier to slip in the cardstock if I cut off a sliver of the paper on one end.

I then collected the boys' schoolwork for that year. Above is the paperwork (Individualized Learning Plans) that I have to do for our homeschool program.

Some of Zach's work

Some of Noah's work

I then filled in the card with the school year and which grade each boy was in.

I then separated the two pieces of cardstock so that I could slip in the papers.

Here is the second pocket I made.

I am just loving Project Life and its products!!!  I have done two years worth of photos in about three months!  If you are interested in learning more about the system visit Becky Higgins' site.

I have pretty much finished 2010!  I have a couple of big pockets to fill with schoolwork to add in before I start on 2011.  I am getting so close to catching up!

Pictures of the freezing rain we had in November and the boys playing out in it.

Yes, we need a little Christmas!
