We are getting ready for Easter here! The boys just finished coloring eggs, and I am set to make these "baskets" in a few minutes. If I get a chance I will post some pictures. I am also going to make "bunny buns" for our Easter dinner on Sunday.
We will be having our Youth Pastor and his wife over on Easter.
Zach is reading Vinegar Boy this week since the story surrounds Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. I read this book myself last year and loved it!
As far as school goes this week things have been a bit different...I am getting the boys ready for standardized testing that will happen next week. As a certified teacher I will be proctoring the tests (for 9th graders) while my boys are testing. It will make for a very different week.
The snow is almost gone now! We can't believe that break-up has come so quickly this year! For those of you that aren't familiar with the Alaskan term..."break-up" means that all the snow from the long winter melts and the rivers "break up" after being frozen all this time.
Off to do some baking....
I am in love with those bunny buns! I want some right now! :)
ReplyDeleteIn Maine, they use the term "ice out" to refer to the day the ice starts to break apart on lakes and rivers. Glad the break up has begun and spring can begin in Alaska!
ReplyDeleteyummy looking bunny buns! How cute! We are also getting ready for testing. Happy Easter and happy early spring for you!
