Great Software Tools

I was given Graphics-Toolbox from Great Software Tools in order to review as a part of TOS Crew.  I have to admit I am not very adept at working with graphics, pictures and text to create anything!  Graphics- Toolbox can be used to do school projects in your homeschool.  Click here to see examples of students' work.

Here is a summary of what Graphics-Toolbox has to offer:

*There is a color library to find just the right color or a group of coordinating colors.
*You can change colors in your images.
*There are basic drawing tools available.
*You have the ability to combine and change your photos.
*You can embellish your creations with fancy lines, ribbons and textures.  (I really liked the ribbons!)
*There is a manual (89 pages) to help you get started.
*Graphics-Toolbox costs $149.
*One-on-one training is available for $65/hour.

Because I don't do a lot with graphics I had a hard time evaluating this program. They claim that Graphics-Toolbox is easier to use than other graphics programs out there.  This may be true.  However, I found that for me there would have to be a huge learning curve for me to be able to use this program efficiently. Training was offered to the Crew in order to use this program.  Because of that, I feel that this couldn't be used easily by the average homeschooler unless you are willing to put a lot of time into learning it or pay the money for the one-on-one training that is offered.  I also feel that for many homeschoolers this is an expensive item to purchase.

These products have been provided to me for the purpose of reviewing them. I am not being paid to do this review. I am sharing my honest opinion of how these products work for my family.
